Installation steps
Step 1: prepare the tube
- If Pre-Cut and Prepped: Move on to Step 2.
- If Cutting is Required:
- Use a tube cutter to size the tube according to your needs.
- Use a scraping tool to remove about 1/2 inch of the powder coating from the tube’s end. This ensures the tube can be fully seated into the fitting.
Step 2: attach the fitting
- Align and Insert: Insert the tube into the fitting until it reaches the bottom, ensuring a proper and secure fit.
- Secure the Connection:
- Use two wrenches (preferably sized 11/16″ and 5/8″).
- Hold the fitting steady with one wrench while turning the nut with the other.
- Tighten the nut firmly to prevent leaks, but avoid overtightening to prevent damage.
