Why this oscillating pedestal misting fan kit?

Some outdoor spaces just stay hot. You move the umbrella, you grab a fan, but by afternoon it barely makes a dent. Aeromist Oscillating Pedestal Misting Fan Kits are built for exactly that situation: pairing strong, directed airflow with a fine mist that evaporates quickly, so you feel the cooling effect without ending up soaked.

These kits are available in three fan sizes and up to four fans per kit, which means you can dial in coverage for a single patio corner or an entire outdoor dining area. Everything you need to get up and running ships in the box.

At a glance

  • Fan sizes: 18 inch, 24 inch, 30 inch
  • Kit options: 1, 2, 3, or 4 pedestal fans
  • Fan speeds: 3 settings
  • Oscillation: 90 degrees
  • Mist type: fine mist designed to evaporate quickly
  • What ships with it: tubing, fittings, nozzles, and mounting accessories
  • Starting price: $2,243.06 (varies by fan size and quantity)

How this kit cools your outdoor space

Standard fans move air. Misting fans change it. The pedestal misting fan kit combines motor-driven airflow with a fine water mist to create evaporative cooling you can actually feel. As the mist evaporates, it pulls heat out of the surrounding air, dropping the perceived temperature around anyone sitting nearby.

Included components

Three things work together to make that happen:

  • Three fan speeds let you adjust airflow from a gentle background breeze to something that actually moves the air in a larger area.
  • 90-degree oscillation sweeps the fan side to side, spreading mist and airflow across a wider zone instead of blasting a single spot.
  • Fine mist nozzles produce small droplets built to evaporate rather than drip, so surfaces and clothing stay dry while the air cools down.

The result is cooling that feels immediate. It works best on warm, lower-humidity days when evaporation is fast, but even in more humid conditions the airflow itself adds meaningful comfort.

Choose your configuration fan build

Fan size guide (18″ vs 24″ vs 30″)

Fan size affects how far the airflow reaches and how forceful it feels at a distance. A larger fan moves more air per revolution, which matters when you want coverage to extend past a few feet.

18 inch

A solid choice for a single seating area or a compact patio where the fan will be close to where people actually sit. The airflow is focused and effective within a tighter range.

24 inch

The middle option. Good for medium-sized patios, covered decks, or any setup where you want slightly more reach without going to the largest size. Most residential installs land here.

30 inch

Built for open spaces where airflow needs to travel. If your patio is large, your fans will be set farther apart, or you are cooling a commercial or event setup, the 30-inch gives you the range and air movement to cover more ground.

How many pedestal fans do you need? How many fans do you need?

Kit options run from 1 to 4 fans. The right number depends on how much space you are working with and how even you want the coverage to feel.

  • 1 fan: A single primary seating area, one side of a patio, or a smaller covered space where one unit covers the zone.
  • 2 fans: A longer patio perimeter, two separate seating clusters, or any layout where one fan leaves a gap in coverage.
  • 3 or 4 fans: Larger outdoor areas, multiple table arrangements, event setups, or anywhere you want consistent comfort across the whole space rather than just near the fan.

If you are on the fence, sizing up is usually the better call. A larger fan running at a lower speed is quieter and more efficient than a smaller fan pushed to its limit.

What’s included in the kit

This is an install-ready kit. You are not buying a fan and then sourcing everything else separately.

Included components

  • Pedestal misting fan(s) in your selected size and quantity
  • Misting nozzles
  • Tubing
  • Fittings
  • Mounting accessories

Need replacement parts or additional nozzles down the road? Those are available separately in the Accessories category.

Installation and setup

Setup overview

Most installs follow the same basic sequence. No specialized tools required for a standard setup.

  1. Position the pedestal fan(s) where you want them.
  2. Mount the misting ring or nozzle components to the fan.
  3. Run the tubing from your water supply to the fan.
  4. Connect the fittings and check for any leaks.
  5. Turn it on, then adjust speed and mist output until the balance feels right for your space.

Start with a lighter mist setting. It is easier to increase output than to deal with wet cushions because you ran it too high on day one.

Where these kits work best

Oscillating pedestal misting fan kits are flexible enough for residential and commercial use. Common setups include:

  • Residential patios and decks: extend your comfortable outdoor hours during hot months without a major installation project.
  • Poolside areas: keep the seating zone comfortable even when the concrete is radiating heat.
  • Outdoor dining and restaurants: improve guest comfort at outdoor tables without a permanent installation.
  • Events and temporary setups: portable enough to move and reposition as your layout changes.

Frequently asked questions

Do these fans work in humid climates?

Evaporative cooling is most effective when humidity is lower, because drier air absorbs the mist more readily. In humid conditions, the cooling effect is reduced, but the airflow from the fan still makes a difference. If you are in a consistently humid region, you may want to run the mist on a lower setting and rely more on the fan speed.

What water source do these connect to?

A standard garden hose connection works for most setups. If you have hard water, a filter is a good idea. It reduces mineral buildup in the nozzles and extends how long they perform without cleaning. Filters and water treatment options are available in the Accessories category.

Will the mist get furniture and cushions wet?

These fans use a fine mist designed to evaporate before it reaches most surfaces. In practice, the closer you position cushions and furniture to the fan, and the higher you run the mist output, the more likely you are to see some moisture. Start with lower mist settings and position fans a few feet away from fabric surfaces. Most users find the “cool and dry” balance quickly through a little trial and adjustment.

Can I add more fans later?

Yes. If you start with one or two fans and want to expand coverage later, you can add fans to the system. Contact Aeromist for guidance on scaling your setup.

Replacement nozzles and maintenance (cleaning, winterizing)

The most common maintenance task is cleaning mineral deposits from nozzle orifices. In hard water areas, this happens faster. A periodic soak with a nozzle cleaner keeps output consistent. Replacement nozzles and O-rings are available in the Accessories section.

Is this the right product if I want a ceiling-mounted fan kit?

The pedestal kit is a freestanding, portable option. For a ceiling-mounted setup, see the Ceiling Fan Kit in the Fans category.

Wow. I am blown away with how amazing the customer service and support was with the team here at Aeromist. From my initial call with Brad Taylor to my in person experience with Fines Dabbs and manager Patrick Mitchell, I was blown away. I am a local contractor and have no experience with misting systems, these gentleman offered the highest level of support that I have ever received. I will forever recommend Aeromist to anyone and everyone. Thank you so much for all the support!

What a great company with great employees. I have been a customer at Aeromist for a number of years. They have always been a delight to deal with. Most recently I had some super good experiences with two of the employees there. One was with Nate, the back of the store technology wiz. He helped me figure out the problem I was having with my mister unit and was able to advise me on how to fix it. With his help I was able to rebuild the solenoid like the pros do. He showed me step by step how to accomplish the task. He explained thing in great detail and was very patient. My other Kudos go to Jacob, the upfront sales associate. He also was friendly and gave outstanding customer service. I wish there were more dedicated employees, like Nate & Jacob, in the work force. Thank you everyone at Aeromist.

The installer Jim did a super job, couldn’t believe he could do our big job so quickly and well. He even stood on ladders in our pool!! We were having electrical problems and they were very accommodating with that. World use them again and highly recommend them.
